Nonprofit Networking Night
Every year, the UCLA Community Service Commission, Volunteer Center, Career Center, Residential Life, and Student Affairs organizes an Annual Nonprofit Networking Night. This event is an opportunity for students and young alumni to speak with non-profit career professionals to find volunteer, full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities. Professionals have an exclusive chance to share their expertise of the nonprofit sector and the great work of their respective organizations while looking for future staff, interns, and volunteers.
We encourage students of all majors and backgrounds to participate in Nonprofit Networking Night. Not only is this event a prime opportunity to practice networking, participants will also learn about the variety of roles and types of organizations that exist within the nonprofit sector. Nonprofit Networking Night is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about how they can engage in social impact in ways that align with their personal and professional goals.
In addition to Nonprofit Networking Night, we hosted our first Networking Tips Workshop in 2022, where we partnered the Career Center to talk about how to efficiently market yourself and build relationships with nonprofits of interest. Students had a chance to workshop their resume, cover letter, and rehearse your elevator pitch to receive feedback before meeting with organizations at Nonprofit Networking Night. This event is open to all students.
