Advocacy

The Community Service Commission was founded by proud members of the Bruin Freedom Summer–student activists dedicated to the Civil Rights movement at UCLA and in their communities. Their dedication to advocacy and education inspires us to continue enacting change Our Advocacy projects invite students with compassion and drive our founders championed to join their projects.

UNICEF

UNICEF seeks to educate UCLA and our local community about global issues affecting children and mobilize the community and student body to take action on these issues in various ways. Working on-site at Los Angeles Family Housing and hosting advocacy events, UNICEF works to raise awareness and inspire change in our community.

Schools and Communities First

Our tax dollars should pay for world-class schools and thriving neighborhoods. Instead, a corporate tax loophole has drained billions of dollars from our local schools and communities for over 40 years. Schools and Communities First will reclaim $11 billion every year for our schools and local communities by closing the loophole to incorporate property taxes that benefit a fraction of wealthy corporations and investors.

Come join us at Bruin Plaza on February 24 and 26 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on both days to sign the petition to get the Schools and Communities First Act on the November 2020 ballot!
