Application Process

Check out this year’s site topics, including San Francisco, San Diego, and Oakland and select your favorite site(s).

Submit an application.
* Applications are due on November 15th. Interview decisions will be sent out in the future.

Selected participants will be invited to an interview for us to get to know you better.
* Interviews will take place in November unless other arrangements have been made.

Once you’ve completed and passed the application and interview round, you’re in! Selected applicants will have to attend various events during the year and attend (bi)weekly meetings. More information can be found in the application and the FAQ section of this site.
AB COMMITMENTS
This is a year-round commitment! Throughout this year, you will:
- Attend your site-specific pre-trip meetings which occur weekly or biweekly (Fall/Winter Quarter)
- Attend All-AB Meetings quarterly (Fall/Winter/Spring Quarter)
- Attend one pre-service trip (Winter Quarter)
- Attend one week-long Alternative Breaks Spring trip (Spring Break)
- Attend one post-service project (Spring Quarter)
