Mentorship for kids

Kids Korner

“Kids Korner celebrated our 10th anniversary during the 2015-16 school year. We are a tutoring and mentoring program that serves the students that live in the extremely low-income area of Harmony Gardens located in North Hollywood. Our goal is to focus on these children’s futures; their future education, health, and aspirations. We help with homework and in addition, our Curriculum Team designs lessons on real world topics such as sustainability and applications of finance. During the second part of site, we organize an activity or game that is engaging and incorporates the lesson. Students’ age ranges from 5 to 17, and with our individualized tutoring, we are able to motivate and provide the necessary attention these kids need to be successful.”

Spots are given on a first-come, first-serve basis through our mailing system.
